Head Injuries Head injuries are less likely to be serious if the person can remember what has happened. Children are sometimes sick after even a very minor bump. You should contact your doctor if: ¨ the person was knocked out or later loses consciousness ¨ there is blurred double vision, faintness or dizziness ¨ there is bleeding or fluid from an ear or clear fluid from the nose ¨ there is severe headache ¨ there is abnormal drowsiness (but note that small children will sometimes have a sleep after a fall - if they behave normally on waking there is no cause for concern.) |
