Meningitis C

Most children have now been immunised against the Meningitis C strain of meningococcal disease but it is still important to be aware of the signs and symptoms of meningococcal infection as there is no vaccine currently available for the commonest form of this infection,  “Group B”, in this country.   Meningitis C vaccination is now available for all children and young people under 25 years of age and can be arranged through your practice.
