Practice Nurses

We have a team of three Practice Nurses who provide a wide range of services to our patients.   Please contact us to book appointments with our  Nursing Team for health screening checks for Diabetes, Asthma, Coronary Heart Disease, Rheumatology and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.   You can also book appointments with our Nurses for   ear syringing, injections, blood pressure checks, holiday vaccinations, dressings, removal of stitches and cervical smears.

 

Sister Heather Sadler joined the practice in November 2009 having previously worked in a GP Practice in Liverpool for 11 years as a Practice Nurse.  Heather trained at Arrowe Park Hospital and qualified in 1986. She then worked in theatre recovery at Clatterbridge Hospital for two years before going on to train as a Midwife at Arrowe Park Hospital. She was employed both in hospital and in the community, working as a team midwife in Greasby and Woodchurch for 9 years in total. Heather is our Nursing Team Leader.

 

Sister Gill Williams joined the practice in July 2005 and has been a Practice Nurse for five years.   Gill trained at a London hospital and has been in Nursing for over 30 years.  She did midwifery training at Arrowe Park Hospital in 1985 and then returned to midwifery in 2001 and worked in fertility in the private for a few years.  Gill has also had experience with the elderly both in a medical and surgical capacity.

 

Sister Amanda Baker joined the practice in March 2010.  Amanda trained at Arrowe Park Hospital and qualified in 1986.  She then relocated to Hastings and worked in the Intensive Care Unit there, before returning to Chester and working at the Countess of Chester Hospital, also in their Critical Care Unit.  Until recently Amanda worked as a District Nurse with Upton Group Practice for 18 years before joining the practice in March 2010 as a Practice Nurse.
